Luca in his own words

Armed conflicts and political crises have been the common thread of my career. My first engagement was to help those who suffer their consequences: I embarked on humanitarian missions with the International Committee of the Red Cross and Médecins Sans Frontières. I then looked into how drivers of armed violence can be addressed and conflict can be transformed, which brought me to peacebuilding and political affairs, first with the UN Department of Political Affairs, then with the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. Through these experiences I have developed expertise in peace processes, in particular mediation and dialogue, dealing with the past, and security sector governance.

After several years abroad (Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Sahel, among others), I continue my commitment towards peace based out of Geneva, where I come from. With degrees in international relations (Graduate Institute Geneva), conflict resolution (Coventry University) and management for the non-profit sector (University of Geneva), I currently train in mediation between individuals and groups.
